Iran may ink new contracts with foreign automakers soon

TEHRAN- Some foreign automakers are holding talks with Iranian carmakers over making new cooperation contracts and new agreements are possible to be signed by the end of current Iranian calendar month (February 18), the secretary of 4th Iran Automotive Industry International Conference (IAIIC) announced in a news conference, ISNA reported.
As Sasan Qorbani told reporters, Renault, Citroen, Fiat, and Volkswagen are conducting negotiations about making new contracts with their Iranian counterparts on the sidelines of the IAIIC, which is going to be held from February 12 to 13, and probabilities are high that some contracts will be finalized.
